Make Extra Money: Become a Leader


Not many people would turn down an opportunity to make extra money. In fact, with the direction our economy is taking, many people are looking for ways to earn some extra money. Some are taking a second job, when they can find one, while others are turning a hobby into an income source. Still others are searching for some type of home based business in an attempt to secure their financial futures. The most popular way to start a home based business is to find an online business.


An important aspect of online business is to portray yourself as an expert in a particular field. If people perceive you as an expert they are more likely to purchase from you. You will be on your way to make extra money. How do you become an expert? Each day we either follow or lead. Those who lead are perceived as experts. Which would you rather?


Each day of our lives we are either leading or following and sometimes we are not even aware of what is happening. Consciously or subconsciously, we are doing one or the other. Whenever you are “not” doing this, you are making the conscious decision to follow someone else. Think about this! Whether you are at home or at work, you are making a conscious or subconscious decision to be a leader or a follower. It occurs in all phases of your life. It manifests itself within any extracurricular activities you are involved in…all the time, every day, in all areas of your life. Take a moment and just think about this. Pick any situation in your life and visualize it. You will come up with a name or lists of names in any given area of your life where you are the follower or possibly…maybe you are “their” leader. If you want to make extra money, your chances are increased if you are a leader.


Many people feel that they do not have the qualities to be a leader. The truth is we all can be leaders, all we need is the knowledge and the confidence. If you are serious and want to make extra money then you have to take action. Take what steps are necessary for you to become a leader. Learn about the products you sell so anyone that talks to you will see you as a leader in that field. We buy from people that give us an assurance that they know what they are talking about.


Being a leader or a follower all depends upon our own self perception. How do we see ourselves? I bring all of this up to get this point across. In having a home based business opportunity, the way to success is to become a leader. You must be able to instruct and train others. You must be able to offer solutions to other peoples problems. You should never focus on selling but rather, focus on “how” you can help that person you are talking to. If your prospective lead gets in the boat with you, you should mentor them and develop them to be successful which in turn…they can become a leader! Helping others to make extra money is how you will become a leader and in the end you will also make extra money.


Becoming a leader takes time, but the benefits of being one in the world of business can be very rewarding. The opportunity to make extra money is certainly one of them, but you will also have a great feeling when you help others to make extra money also. Most people (especially new) getting involved with network marketing or a home based business are looking for someone who can “help” them. Someone who can teach, instruct, and guide them. They are looking for someone who will mentor them. People are opting in to get involved with “you”, not your home based business opportunity! Become a leader!
