There is an organization called the Small Business Development Corp (SBDC) these folks at no cost to you will help you develop your business plan, marketing plan, etc. The SBDC if I’m not mistaking is part of the Small Business administration (SBA). Between these agencies you will be supplied all the forms and documents required for developing your home based business and marketing plan.
Starting any business without a business plan is another common mistake made. Either people don’t realize how important it is or they just don’t know how do make one. Whether it is a home base business or a brick and mortar business you need to have a plan that takes you from planning phase of starting a home business, opening that business, and marketing the business, these plans are your guide for the next several years. At times you will modify your plan as the business changes but to make extra money online you have to be able to change direction as you go.
